Overview
You know you should pray. You're just not sure you know how.
If that lands a little too close to home, you're in good company. Most of us carry a quiet guilt about prayer — we believe it matters, we mean to do it, and yet the practice keeps slipping through our fingers. We're not even sure we'd know what we were doing if we sat down to try.
Here's the good news: prayer is the keystone that unlocks intimacy with God. It's your invitation to bring your unsolvable problems to Him, and your complete access to His mercy, grace, wisdom, and power — at every moment, in every place. It's hard to imagine anything more worth learning. A satisfying andinvigorating prayer life isn't reserved for the spiritually advanced. It can be learned. It can be yours.
That's exactly why we've created The Practice of Prayer: A Four-Week Exploration, running Tuesday evenings, August 5 to 29.
This won't be a lecture course where you take notes and go home unchanged. It'll be eminently practical — less like a classroom, more like a group exploration where we actually pray together. You'll be invited into a prayer method that opens the door to real intimacy with God, and you'll spend meaningful time practicing it in the room, not just hearing about it. Forty minutes of direct instruction, twenty minutes of interactive engagement, and a community of fellow travelers who are, like you, simply learning to live by the unhurried rhythms of grace.
You'll be led by Harold Smith, Brad Coleman, Jamie Morrison, and Glenn Wishnew — and by the end of four weeks, our hope is that you'll walk away with something you may have been missing for a long time: real peace and joy in God, and a prayer life that actually feels alive.
A few things to know: This class is in-person only, and spots are capped at 70 people. They're already filling up. If some part of you has been waiting for the right moment to finally learn to pray, this is it.
